What this site is for
Trend Screener is an independent data and educational service for comparing listed stocks using consistent price criteria. It connects market conditions, industry rankings and individual stocks after the close. Access is free and does not require an account. The English interface covers the U.S. market; Korean pages also cover Korea.
Source data and calculations
U.S. listings come from the Nasdaq Trader symbol directory. U.S. prices and classifications come from Yahoo Finance; Korean listings, prices and market caps come from Naver Finance. The site calculates weighted RS, eight trend conditions, industry and sector rankings, and the Trend Strength Score (TSS) from these inputs. These are site calculations, not official ratings or recommendations from the data providers.
RS weights 1-week, 1-month, 3-month and 6-month returns at 10%, 30%, 40% and 20%, then ranks eligible stocks within each market. The 200-day average condition compares its current value with its value 21 sessions earlier. Formulas, exclusions and data-handling limitations are documented in the Methodology.
Reading the content
The Guide explains filters and charts, while Insights explains metrics and trading concepts. Illustrative calculations and historical examples do not establish future performance. The Korean site also carries dated weekly records and historical model studies. Data-only weekly records are labeled as such; historical winners are selected retrospectively and cannot establish a strategy's overall success rate.
Operation and corrections
The site is individually operated. Questions about its operation or content go to [email protected]. A useful error report includes the page URL, symbol, displayed as-of date, disputed number and comparison source. Account numbers and other sensitive information are unnecessary.
Tables and charts are generated by calculation programs. Written explanations should not be taken as evidence of review by an investment professional. The site does not recommend stocks on the basis of professional credentials or a verified investment track record. Report inconsistencies through Contact.
Limits to check before use
This is not a real-time quote service. Holidays retain the last trading session's data; source errors, delays and corporate-action adjustments can change figures. RS 99, a high TSS or an 8/8 pass does not guarantee a gain or establish an entry. Price-volume flow measures are proxies, not actual institutional transaction records.
